WHAT IS A CONSULTATION LIKE?
My intention is to tailor the consult and recommendations to exactly what will be most helpful to you. I see you as a whole and complete being - not just the bits and pieces of you. I see you as healed and lovely, not sick or injured.
During our time together, I will listen deeply and ask targeted questions to discover the root underlying cause(s) of the health challenges you are currently experiencing.
I follow Ayurvedic pathways proven over the millenniums, my own experience of working with 1000s of clients over the last decade, and my highly tuned intuition to shed light on what will most quickly and easily bring you back into beautiful balance.
Towards the end of the consult, I will offer recommendations for the most healing herbs, foods, protocols and lifestyle activities for you to begin during the first phase of your healing journey.
HEALING THE ROOT CAUSE OF IMBALANCES
You are 1 in 7.5 Billion! Which means your healing journey must also be unique.
I treat you as an individual and unique person, because you are! I do not treat the symptoms.
I embrace all of you, as Ayurveda recognizes that the state of our heart, mind and emotions is as important as what food is on our plate and the herbal medicines we are taking. Even modern science now acknowledges that stress is 80% of the root cause of all disease.
For example, though insomnia is a common symptom many people experience, there is not one protocol that helps all people with all types of insomnia. Each person receives specific recommendations based on why the imbalance started in the first place and their particular flavor of it.
I also take into consideration your body type and constitution (aka 'dosha'), the current season, where you are living, your health history, and other factors in your life, such as if you work a busy job, are a single parent, retired, in school, and so on. I do my best to tailor the recommendations to your personal preferences so everything is as appealing as possible.
Phone or Video
I work best via phone and thus offer all my consultations via phone (or video). After working with 1000s of people over the phone, I have learned how to facilitate phone sessions in a way that is as effective and connected as in person. In fact, they have become my most effective way to work with people, which initially surprised me as I thought that pulse and tongue diagnosis were necessary. For that reason I have decided not to set up an official 'clinic' to see people in person.
As video can slow down the consult with technical difficulties and distractions (some people feel awkward on video), I often suggest that we do the first 5 minutes or so on video so we can greet each other, then switch to phone. To meet via video, we can use my private and secure video channel in my client portal, Skype or Zoom.
Sometimes folks are hesitant to do the consult via phone or video. I get that. It can seem counter-intuitive initially. I would like to reassure you that afterwards people always report back that they were completely satisfied. Not one person has ever said they thought it would have been better in person. As I am one-in-7-billion - just like you are - people are grateful they didn't have to fly out to meet me in person or settle for another practitioner near them that didn't quite meet their needs.
HOW MANY CONSULTS WILL YOU NEED?
Take it one step at a time, and celebrate each small victory!
Most people need weekly or monthly consults for the first 6 months, then seasonal consults for another 6-12 months. I also work with many client who continue to check in with me every 2 months for years to help them stay aligned.Those who are experiencing only a minor health challenge can often reset in only a few consults. More rarely, one consult is enough.
I wish I could sprinkle pixie dust or call on an enchanted genie to create perfect health overnight. The rate of how long it takes to feel well again depends on the complexity of the imbalance(s), how long you have been experiencing discomfort, your stress levels, and your ability to make improvements in your daily habits.
There are no magic pills or guarantees or 'one size fits all' solutions. I wish there were. I would promote them. My goal is to guide you on the path that will truly address the main cause of any dis-ease for long term health, and for you to become more and more self-resourced. Masking the symptoms with treatments such as digestive enzymes, restrictive diets, sedating herbs or stimulants typically only gives us temporary benefits and more long term problems.
On our health journey, we are looking for a general upward spiral. We begin to feel better and better, with some down days. Over time, the amount of time and frequency when we don't feel as great begins to lessen. We can more easily pinpoint why we don't feel as well, and we know what to do to bounce back more quickly. This is a true gift, as too many people can feel lost and confused. There is tremendous power and grace in knowing how to return to balance.
HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR CONSULT
Just a few easy steps to take.
When you start the booking process, you will be redirected to my private portal with a scheduling software called Practice Better. It is very easy and intuitive to use.
Here are a few notes to help you feel ready for your consult.
New Client Questionnaire
Your confirmation email will send you a link to your New Client Questionnaire and Disclaimer of Liability.
Please submit it at least 24 hours before your appointment (ideally as soon as possible to ensure I receive it).
Please set aside at least 20 minutes to be able to complete it.
You can pay before or right after your consult with a credit card.
Please use a landline if possible. If you are using your cell phone, be sure to be in an area with good reception.
I will call you at the time of your consult.
If you wish to use video, please note that we may need to switch to phone if video has too many technical difficulties. It can be nice to do the first 5-10 minutes on video so we can see each other visually and connect on that level.
The scheduling software I use, called Practice Better, also has a private and secure video feature, which is very easy to use.
If you wish to connect via Skype or Zoom:
When you book your consult, please write 'Skype' or 'Zoom' in the Notes. If you know your Skype or Zoom ID, please include it there.
My Skype and Zoom ID will be in the confirmation email. Please send me a contact request via Skype or Zoom.
Do a practice call with a friend to test that your Skype/Zoom is working properly. Make sure your friend can see and hear you and that your internet speed is fast enough.
I will call you at the time of the consult.
During Your Consult
Please set aside the full time to be in a quiet area that is private and free of distractions.
I highly recommend taking detailed notes. I will provide your personalized Nourishing Recommendations after your consult which will include highlights and a summary of the suggestions.

I will only invite you to commit to your wellbeing, which may or may not include me as a guide and mentor. If you do feel called to work with me, I can let you know about different options and what the next steps could be.
